But her peaceful world shatters when she discovers a devastating secret: her young son, Leon, possesses the dangerous, taboo talent of a Rumor. Knowing the world would execute her child without mercy, Priscilla abandons her prestigious title, global renown, and heroic status overnight. Taking Leon, she flees to a remote, hidden village rumored to hold the only secret ritual capable of converting a Rumor’s treacherous gift into the righteous power of a Talker.
