In Japan, following the termination of the Japan-U.S. Security Treaty, there had been a sharp increase in the number of aircraft violating its airspace. However, to avoid providing a pretext for military intervention by major powers, the Self-Defense Forces remained unable to take any action. Eventually, an incident occurred in which a Self-Defense Forces aircraft was shot down by an intruder, but just as the Self-Defense Forces were about to attack the intruder, a mysterious fighter jet, not belonging to the Self-Defense Forces, appeared. It was a fighter jet belonging to “Shadow Wings,” a top-secret organization established to protect Japan. (Source: Shueisha, translated)
