Fuyu no Tsubomi: Beate Sirota to Josei no Kenri

Imagine a time when the house and clan were considered more valuable than a person, where women must always obey the men, and women had no right to vote. After the war, a "bud" blossomed in those dark days: the Equality Clause of the Constitution. This manga traces the life of Beate Sirota, who drafted the Equality Clause. The volume also includes three additional short stories depicting the lives of women in modern Japan. (Source: Iwanami Shoten, translated) 1-3.
